Welcome to the ArborXR Product Roundup! Every few months, we distill the latest features, enhancements, and updates across our platform into one place. This edition is packed with releases designed to help you achieve granular remote control over your devices, manage your applications' asset files efficiently, elevate your network security, and more. Read on to see the exciting steps we’ve taken to make ArborXR even more powerful.

Remotely View Device File System & Delete Files

View the file structure of any VR or AR device directly from the ArborXR web portal and remotely delete files. This gives you instant visibility into content installation paths, log files, user-generated data, and any other stored information. You can also remotely delete specific files. This level of granular control is helpful for troubleshooting deployment issues, managing storage limits, and cleaning up residual data, all without ever needing to physically touch the headset.

    Bundle Files with App Builds

App developers can now upload addressable files (or Unity AssetBundles) alongside APK builds to ArborXR, eliminating the need for custom hosting servers and ensuring that the correct assets are delivered seamlessly with every app version. When deployed via ArborXR, both the application and its dedicated content are installed together, guaranteeing an error-free experience before the app even launches.

Zero Touch Registration of Consumer Meta Quest with Horizon Managed Services

Meta Quest devices previously enrolled in ArborXR using the Device Setup App are considered consumer devices. These devices won’t receive the latest features available through Meta Horizon managed services such as controller battery life reporting, remote shut down, and account-free Shared Mode.

Previously, registering consumer Meta Quest devices already enrolled in ArborXR with HMS required undergoing a manual factory reset and re-enrollment, a time-consuming process. Now, using this feature, you can register your consumer Meta Quest devices with Horizon managed services (HMS) without a factory reset or re-enrollment. This feature allows you to seamlessly register devices at your convenience, whether you want to register a few or all of them.
