Happy New Year! We're kicking of the year with a ton of new features and improvements we're excited to share!

  • New Device Setup App: Configuration Packages

  • Added: Hand Tracking in ArborXR Home

  • Added: Upload Multiple File "Versions"

  • SOC2 Type 2

Configuration Packages

We just released a major update to the Device Setup App! Now you can streamline device enrollment and provisioning without using any Wi-Fi bandwidth.

Provision apps, files, Wi-Fi, and settings offline via USB-C as part of initial device setup by leveraging our new Configuration Packages feature. This will save a lot of time and bandwidth, especially since apps and files will not have to download over Wi-Fi. Once the configuration package is loaded onto a headset, the end-user will simply turn on the headset and it should be ready to use! Learn more about Configuration Packages here.

Hand Tracking in ArborXR Home

ArborXR Home (launcher) now supports hand tracking as an input method across the following device types:

Upload Multiple File "Versions"

With this improvement, you can now upload multiple versions of a file with the same filename and path but designed for different device types. You can also add labels to your files to better keep track of which file relates to which device type.

This feature is relevant if you use multiple device types in your organization (e.g. Meta Quest 2, Pico Neo 3, etc.) and need to install different "versions'' of a configuration file across your devices. This is especially helpful when the configuration files have the same filename and path but the contents of the file differ between device types.

SOC 2 Type 2

ArborXR is now SOC 2 Type 2 compliant after an extensive audit process.

This milestone demonstrates that ArborXR protects data for enterprise, healthcare, and education by the highest standards in the industry. This audit is in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for SOC for Service Organizations, also known as SSAE 18. Achieving this standard with third-party industry validation shows that ArborXR provides enterprise-grade security for customers’ data.

What to Look Forward to Next
