We've been hard at work making ArborXR even better, and we're excited to share some new features and improvements.
ArborXR Home Improvements
Simplified 3D Environment Uploads: You can now upload custom 3D environment files (.glb) directly within the Kiosk Experience configuration. This eliminates the need to upload files separately, making it easier than ever to customize your ArborXR Home background.

Remotely Configure Mixed Reality Mode (PICO & Meta only): Admins can now remotely configure mixed reality as a background option for ArborXR Home through the Headset Experience settings, rather than having to set it up on each individual device.

Redesigned Quick Access Menu: We've updated the Quick Access menu in ArborXR Home for better usability. You'll find it easier to adjust screen brightness and volume, with new shortcuts for key settings. (Note: This is not available on Meta Quest devices.)
PICO Pupil Distance Adjustment: On PICO 4 Enterprise and PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise devices, users can now adjust the pupil distance (IPD) directly from the ArborXR Home settings for improved visual comfort.
New Device Management Features
PICO Default Boundary: You can now configure devices to use PICO's Default Boundary feature, which provides an automatic boundary for a smoother user experience.
Learn more.
Meta Horizon Device Setup: Admins and resellers can now enroll Meta devices using the Meta Horizon Device Setup application, streamlining the enrollment process for Horizon managed services devices.
Learn more.
Persistent App Data for Shared Mode: Application data and permissions are retained across different Shared Mode sessions on Horizon managed services Meta Quest devices. This means users won't have to re-configure app settings or re-download data after a session ends.
Controller Battery Level: We've added controller battery level reporting for PICO devices, so you can easily monitor their battery life remotely via the ArborXR portal.
We hope these updates help you get the most out of your VR fleet. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected].
